The Hobbit too Violent and Gross

I made the mistake of seeing The Hobbit new film which was almost non-stop fighting, gross humor, with few scenes of beauty–just a few shots of the green shire and waterfall-filled elve land. It cost an appalling $300 million to make, including $1.5 million on food for crew and $9 million on construction materials. Think how many of the world’s 1 billion abjectly poor people could use that food and housing. A gross commentary on Western values. Let’s not support such violence with our dollars, sorry I did.
